Amigos club
The Amigos club promotes the interaction between Latinos and Moab’s other residents. Events are planned for important holidays such as Cinco de Mayo in May and The Day of the Dead in November. BEACON's After School Adventure Program
BEACON's After School Adventure Program provides a safe place for students to access homework help/tutoring, have a nutritional snack, as well as, engage in recreational, artistic and intellectually stimulating activities. After school activities include: Academic Assistance, Newspaper, Drama, Aikido, Rock Climbing, Creative Writing, Breakdancing, Outdoor/Indoor Games, Cooking, Crocheting/Knitting, Mask-Making, Arts & Crafts, Running and more! Bike Barn Project
This volunteer run program operates on donations and grants to provide participants with the opportunity to gain hands on skills in bicycle maintenance and safety. Our interdisciplinary approach also couples
environmental education and social responsibily to create unique art projects and a "build a bike" program. Located at the Moab Charter School we allow area youth to work with adult and teen mentors to meet educational goals, strenghten community ties, and have fun. Canyonlands Community Recycling Center
Open 8 to 4 Monday through Saturday, the recycling center offers recycling of aluminum cans; clear, green and brown glass; corrugated cardboard; white office paper; mixed office paper; steel (tin) cans, #1 PETE plastic; and newspapers. Please, no aluminum foil or pie tins, no magazines or paperboard (cereal boxes). The less contaminated the product, the greater the profit to continue the recycling center operation. Grand County Hospice
The goals of hospice are to allow an individual to preserve their dignity and maintain their right of self determination and allow the individual to remain in their home throughout the remainder of their life. The Grand County Hospice is a Medicare Certified Hospice located at 719 West 400 North in Moab. 259.7191
Humane Society
The Humane Society of Moab Valley is 90% volunteer run and operates a no-kill foster program where every adoptable animal finds a new, loving home. Volunteer foster families care for and train foster dogs and cats until such time as a suitable adoptive family can be found. HSMV also operates a Feral Trap, Neuter and Release program, Low-cost and year round Low-Income Spay/Neuter programs, behavioral and training pet tips for the public, and is working with the City of Moab in building Moab’s First Animal Shelter. Since August of 1999, The Humane Society of Moab Valley has rescued over 1,300 cats and dogs, provided over 3,000 spay/neuters surgeries and maintains 36 feral cat colonies.

KZMU Community Radio
KZMU is an all-volunteer station served by 66 DJ’s and part-time staff of 3. Almost all of our programming is locally originated. KZMU’s mission is to “inform, educate, engage, entertain and delight”. In addition to offering a wide variety of music, KZMU includes Saturday children’s shows, City Council and County Council meetings, a Spanish show and the hilarious Trading Post show.
Living Rivers
Living Rivers employs grassroots organizing, litigation, research and campaigns that promote large-scale river restoration, habitat preservation and water user responsibility. Volunteer activities range from critical outreach work such as petitioning, organizing house parties and distributing literature at events.
Moab Valley Multicultural Center
The Moab Valley Multicultural Center facilitates multicultural exchange and communication. We provide for the minority and undeserved individuals and families in our community the following: Advocacy, Education, Outreach, Language translation services, Referrals to other agencies and services. Further, we provide a space where Moab's citizenry can have opportunities to learn about each other, celebrate and share our cultural diversity.
Native American Club
Sponsored by the Grand County High School, the Native American Club encourages club members to preserve their cultural heritage as they learn to contribute and interact with their community and school. Contact Shirley Fredriksen at the Grand County High School 259-8931.
Seekhaven Family Crisis and Resource Center
Seekhaven is a non-profit addressing the issues of domestic violence and homelessness within Grand and San Juan Counties. Seekhaven offers shelter for victims of domestic violence and homelessness, a 24 hour crisis line, and rape crisis advocacy. Seekhaven makes school and community presentations on a variety of subjects. Seekhaven also provides Spanish-speaking services. The drop-in resource center is open Mon-Friday 8am-5pm. Youth Garden Project (YGP)
The Youth Garden is a non-profit that provides experiential education programs to Grand County youth and to the greater community through organic gardening and community service projects. The Youth Garden Project has been operating since 1996 and has served over 12,000 youth and adult community members.
