Q. What is WabiSabi?
A. WabiSabi is a nonprofit 501c3 organization in Moab, UT. We operate two thrift stores. The funding from the thrift stores is used to support local nonprofit organizations.
Q. What is the WabiSabi Fashion Show?
A. It is our annual fundraiser. Local artists showcase their hand crafted fashion designs, created out of materials donated to WabiSabi’s thrift stores and other recycled materials. There is a live auction after the fashion show for the outrageous outfits.
Q. What happens after the fashion show and auction?
A. There will be an after party featuring fire spinners, Taiko drumming, and live music by The Butchers
Q. Will there be alcohol?
A. There will be beer and wine for sale.
Q. Do you have to be 21 years or older?
A. Yes, because of our liquor license everyone at the event must be 21 years or older with valid ID. No exceptions.
Q. Are there shuttles available?
A. Yes, there will be free shuttles to and from the event from the Moab Information Center and from The Moab Valley Inn. The shuttles start at 5:45 PM from the Moab Information Center and at 6 PM from The Moab Valley Inn. There will be free parking at both shuttle pick up locations.
Q. How much are tickets?
A. Tickets start at $15 for general admission, $35 for VIP seating, $45 for front row and $400 for a table that seats 8.
Q. Where does the money go?
A. The money raised at The WabiSabi Fashion Show is distributed to WabiSabi’s 14 Sponsored Nonprofit Partners: Active Re-Entry, BEACON Afterschool Program, Club Red: The Moab Teen Center, Community Rebuilds, Humane Society, KZMU, Moab Free Health Clinic, Moab Valley Multicultural Center, Native American Club, Recycling Center, Red Rock Forests, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Seekhaven, and The Youth Garden Project.
