WabiSabi Thrift StoresThe WabiSabi thrift stores, located in the center of Moab, Utah, serve as WabiSabi’s own community center. Store hours are listed on the home page. Each store has it’s own personality. The “Thriftique” on 400 East is a little gem of a store with a great variety of unique and sought after items. The “Warehouse”, by the city offices, is a great place to wander around and rummage for things in the best tradition of old-fashioned thrift stores. The Thriftique Store

Items we receive include house wares, athletic gear, men’s & women’s clothing, jewelry, artwork, electronics, books, furniture and much more that defies categorization. As people consume more, they need a place to discard old or unwanted items. Their choices are to throw it away, give it away, sell it or store it. In our experience it is difficult for people to know what to do and our presence provides a positive answer. By donating unwanted items to WabiSabi, the consumer is promoting recycling and supporting community nonprofits. It is a win-win situation. Each day we receive an average of one pick-up truck full of donations. These donations must then be sorted and separated depending on the distribution point. In addition to sending donations to checkpoints within the Navajo Nation, WabiSabi also donates materials to the Community School, Youth Garden Project and a children’s after-school art class. WabiSabi would like to see 100% of our donations either sold, given away or recycled. However, there are many items that we cannot sell, give away (passing on the problem) or currently recycle.
