Introduction

The WabiSabi Nonprofit Network exists to help local organizations and individuals more effectively meet the needs of our community. The network strengthens the presence of nonprofits in our area, educates the public on the value of these organizations, enhances member groups’ effectiveness, and encourages networking. WSNN meets regularly and encourages more organizations to join the conversation.

Our Purpose

The WabiSabi Nonprofit Network (WSNN) is open to nonprofits, individuals and for-profit entities that seek to make Moab a better place to live. Twice a month, the network comes together for lunch meetings in which ideas and skills are shared to make each organization more effective and visible in our community. By sharing educational and material resources amongst network members, all organizations are strengthened and energized. And the Moab community benefits.

WSNN also seeks to increase the visibility of area organizations, educating the community on the services available to it. By both increasing the effectiveness of Moab-area organizations and promoting an understanding of what they have to offer, community needs are more effectively met.

Our Events

The WabiSabi Nonprofit Network offers a number of workshops throughout the year to assist local nonprofits in all facets of their day-to-day operation in the community. These workshops run the gamut from basic finances, board development and grant-writing, to volunteer recruitment and creating a professional image. Members of the nonprofit network are involved in determining future workshop topics, thus enabling the organizations to better meet community needs.

Also, WSNN holds lunch meetings every other month. These bimonthly meetings are a place to learn about other area nonprofits and the projects they are working on while building alliances, formulating ways to work together, and ensuring that the full spectrum of community needs is being addressed. The lunches are also a forum to discuss ideas for future workshops that WSNN might sponsor.

A listing of past events and workshops is found here.

Our Nonprofit Network

Over 70 organizations are a part of our network. All areas of community interest and need are addressed by this group, comprised of members of the religious community, environmental advocacy groups, adult and children’s education organizations, and entities focused on the arts, politics, history, health and more.
