With a background in early childhood education, Marcy came to Moab in 1987 and has spent her decades here serving the community since. She has been the Director of Recreation for the City of Moab, the administrative manager of the Old Spanish Trail Arena for Grand County, and a teacher in the Grand County School District. Marcy has volunteered her time by participating in government committees and organizing community events, such as Moab Pride. She is currently the Communications Coordinator for 100 Women Who Care Moab. She is a mentor to young people through equine therapy and owns a small horse ranch in Spanish Valley.
Marcy raised two kids in Moab and now has five beautiful grandchildren, who she spends much of her free time with. She enjoys meditation, reading, studying nutrition and is still in awe of the view of the La Sal Mountains out her front window.
