Megan packed up her car & moved to Moab with her now-fiancé in April of 2018 after falling in love with the area while on a rock climbing trip to Indian Creek. She quickly found and equally fell in love with WabiSabi, joining the team as our Education & Sustainability Coordinator. In 2019, she happily stepped into the Program Director position. She loves brainstorming about the future of WabiSabi, the creativity involved in her position, streamlining programs, making things more efficient, bantering with government agencies on the phone, event planning, and excel spreadsheets! She is inspired by her unique community and passionate coworkers every day who are always striving to make Moab the best place to be on the planet (arguably already there). Megan is currently the nonprofit representative on Moab's Chamber of Commerce and a recipient of the 2020 Utah Philanthropy Heroes Award for her efforts to provide COVID relief to the Moab community. Megan is also the Program Director of WabiSabi's AmeriCorps State program that aims to increase economic opportunity and to enhance education in the Southeastern Utah region.
Outside of work, Megan is an avid hula hooper, rock climber, cat cuddler, reader, and jewelry maker.
